No. With large airports like this, you need to allow for at least 1.5 hour layovers. Gates could be across terminals and it can get quite busy.
I've made it tighter than this, but you need to be prepared to move quickly. Its best to be staying within the same concourse and airline. It's best to schedule both the flights with the same airline. If for some reason you miss your connection, that's on the airline. If you miss your connection because it's between two different airlines and you scheduled such a tight time, then it's on you.
Hell no! If anything goes slightly wrong you will not make it
I flew thru Hartsfield yesterday arriving on Concourse A and departing from Concourse E with a layover of 35 minutes! Everyone had boarded on the departing flight by the time I got there. (I had quickly visited the ladies' room, too; which was luckily right next to the gate). I never would have made my connecting flight if the (people) traffic hadn't been so unusually light and if a very nice airport employee hadn't been there to help me when I missed a turn. My flight into Hartsfield landed at 4:47pm... I do not know how busy the airport would typically be on a Wednesday at 5pm but I would say an hour minimum should be allowed between flights. If you have children or need to buy anything, etc.; I wouldn't attempt it with any less than 1.5-hrs.
It depends on how long of distance you have to walk between gates. Same concourse? Plenty of time even one concourse over is ok as long as plane is on time. Won't leave any time for dilly dallying around but should be ok. I had a 60 minute delay today and was on same concourse . Had plenty of time for restroom break and to get a snack for next flight. , and we were on the same concourse just different sides.
Tight
Only on the same concourse
ummm if you are flying out of the same gate
