If the inter-concourse tram is overly full just walk, if you move you will just be a little ahead of the second tram and save time. The real question is the distance between your gates. Things are clearly marked and you can get anywhere in 20 minutes max.
Lucky we had the same flight attendees and captain to take us to our next destination. With a carry-on it shouldn't be a rush
