I needed one (wheelchair)for a knee injury and asked for one at the ticket counter when I arrived. They were very accommodating and an attendant drove me all the way thru TSA and gate for prebooking. Someone was also waiting for me with a chair at the other end. I flew with Delta for the first time- totally impressed with services and my flight.
When Booking UR Flight Request A Wheelchair And They Will Be More Then Able To Help U Out.
You can go back to where you paid your ticket and request wheelchair assistance and then once you get to the airport go to the airline you booked with and they have a section for wheelchair assistance but just know that you will be the first one on the plane and the last one off. Just a side note...delta has very good accommodations for the wheelchairs. All the airlines will personally push you to the plane and back.
When booking flight tell them you requested a wheelchair chair they will set you up.
Call the airlines you are flying with so they can put it in their system. Although the TSA emoyees will have your info for a wheelchair just remind them that you will need a wheelchair when you land.
