The Clovis culture is a prehistoric Paleo-Indian culture, named for distinct stone tools found in close association with Pleistocene fauna at Blackwater Locality No. 1 near Clovis, New Mexico, in the 1920s and 1930s. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clovis_culture

Main reason to visit Murry Springs is to observe the black mat layer exposed there. Marks a change in weather patterns directly after the last last ice age. The mat was formed 12,000 years ago anything below the mat consists of Clovis points and has to do with Mammoths Etc Saber tooth tigers short faced bear and etc. The southern Terminus of the great ice sheet that covered North America. Stopped justnorth of this area. Well worth visiting if you're interested in ancient things
