They take cast iron, but they will buy it as steel. You don't want to sell it there. They only give you $3 per hundred pounds. Take it to Mohawk on edgewood by 12th st, they will at least give you $5 per hundred pounds. Mohawk is the best yard for steel that is open on weekends and holidays. If it isn't the weekend or a holiday, take your material to CMC Recycling by lane and commonwealth. They pay the best on pretty much all materials. There's another place on Philips hwy called Jacksonville metal recycling that's open on weekdays and they are the next best. Union metal is pretty much always a rip off, they pay better on copper then most other places, but I swear their scales aren't accurate. They pay less then everyone on brass and pretty much everything else. Basically, if you don't have copper, don't go there. Any place would be better then union for steel or cast iron.
Don't work there but I know they do but if it looks like a backflow preventer or anything City related they won't take it
