Since COVID started I stopped using taxis; so not sure. I'm using a local black car service - DCAcar. I found them through TripAdvisor. Their cars are super clean and they're always on time. You might want to check the rates on their website.
Just got back from US. We paid US$71.37 to Dupont Circle plus a tip of US$7.50 = US$78.87

You could rent a car 2 days 100 dollars. Less than what would cost the round trip on a taxi

I just take fly taxi charge me $73 from Dulles Airport to Reagan Airport so expensive :)
Uber or Lyft to reston metro station. Couple bucks to ride the train to a place in the DMV.
