Yes, they will even take bagged yard clippings that are placed next to your trash bins. I think there's a limit to how many loose bags they'll take but we've put like 8 bags out there before and they took them all...so the limit must be high or they're just flexible with the rules.
We put our bagged clippings in the cans. I don't know if they take bags just sitting on the curb.
