There is no designated terminal for departures, as all terminals meet at the National Hall except for Terminal A. Terminal A is accessible by a long walkway from the National Hall. Here is the Terminal and airline info: Terminal A: Southwest Airlines, Frontier Airlines, Air Canada Terminal B: Alaska Airlines, Delta Airlines, United Airlines Terminal B/C: American Airlines, JetBlue Airways. Transfer to B/C accessible by transfer bus. Terminal C: American Airlines, including all American Airlines regional flights. Transfer to B/C accessible by transfer bus. For other transfers (other than between C and B/C), you have to exit to the National Hall and walk down to the terminal area.
Terminals A,B, and C all have arrivals and departures. You just have to look at your airline. Typically if you are picking someone up or trying to be picked up from terminals B and C, you want to go to the lower level. For terminal A, like Maximus mentioned, it is apart. Pick ups and drop offs all happen around the circle. Just pay attention so that you are not in the wrong zone.
