I have gone there at all times and I have always gotten in. the kids want you there to let them know the number of your party and that you want a table if you want to eat. If you just going there for drinks you can pretty much be anywhere.
Make sure you get them in early and confirm them while on the way or right before you leave your home. Their turn around is high volume and they may assume you're not coming if you don't confirm or are late.
