International flights probably, depends on airline. If you are flying domestic, once your bag is checked in, it should go direct to you destination.
If you check a bag through to your destination, the checked bag is moved with you. If you carry-on or check a bag at the gate, then you will be responsible to move it to the next flight.
Check with your airline... Each has a different policy based on your ticket price
As far as I know the carry on is free , you don't need to check it out ,just take it with you, sorry the question is kinda confusing for me !! I hope my answer helped you 😊
