Call the airline, they can arrange for a wheelchair and an employee to meet him at the gate.
If you're son is not so old ¬ so young too , the personal-(air)-staff (or security-staff) , could ,in general, somethings for informations too ... And if is not too young , he can watch on web- informatic (not far of the Entry ) the map of the Airport ....
