To answer your question directly, no we are not price gouging our customers. We have always offered (2) different ways to purchase our Fresno State sweet corn during opening week. We offer a pre-bagged option for convenience and we offer a "pick your own" option for those who like to do so. We have done it this way for the past 5 years. The pre-bagged option allows for convenience but is at a slightly higher price point due to the rising cost of materials (the bag), the rising cost of labor to put it in the bag, and our margin for covering the overhead costs of our store. The PC 396 & FMC 2-501 state that you cannot raise the price of any item more than 10% during a state of emergency, we did not since this is a product we have sold in past years and maintained the same price point. Also, we always make BOTH options available to our customers, so you the consumer have the freedom of choice. Thank you for your concern, I hope this clears up any misconceptions.

Fresno State corn is the best corn. It's expected that it'll be more expensive. It always has been. It's so incredibly good.
