First time visiting this place I think it's an area that is not very common to find great places I live not too close to it but looks like the restaurant has some great deals also the meat market section seems to have Great cuts probably find most of the basic meat you need here you're going to try I think you will be pleasantly surprised

19-Aug-2020 Update: I now shop at Valley Food on a regular basis. The prices are okay, produce good, and their meat counter is great. I especially like the ham and turkey ham they'll slice; it's much cheaper than the prepackaged stuff. There are still items that I can't find a price for, but considerably less than before. They rearranged a lot of stuff, so hopefully item prices will catch up. Still haven't tried the hot food, but I will sometime and will post an additional update when I do. They installed a good bike rack near the front door. This is great, unlike so many businesses that if they install a rack at all, it's located 'out of the way' far from a closer higher visibility area, actually making it a bigger risk to use. ------------------------- PRIOR POSTING Well, I've shopped there a couple of times now and had good experiences both times. However, it qualifies for my ongoing complaint: 'there are many items that don't have prices', or I can't find them if they do. Anything from various cold alcoholic beverages to some produce and a few things on the shelves. I hate having to try to find an associate to ask, that then has to usually take the item to the register to scan or asks someone else for the price.... I'd probably buy more stuff if I knew the price before getting to the checkout stand and having to make a quick decision on keeping it or having them put it back. A few of the sale items were sold out at the time I was there. They do need a bicycle rack and a provision for a wheelchair entrance - like a button to push that opens one of the manual doors. I've gotten marinated meat from the meat counter, chicken fajitas, boneless chicken leg meat, and pork al pastor; all very very good and not too salty as I've encountered at other stores once in a while. Haven't tried the hot food et cetera counter yet. I see it received a few negative reviews, but hopefully that was just a case of the people being new and needing training and experience working the counter. Overall, I Iike the place, especially being just down the street from me.
