Ms Traviss I assume that when you are talking about applying for “Section 8” you mean the Housing Choice Voucher program. This is the replacement for Section 8 that happened 20 years ago. Unfortunately the voucher program waiting list opened and closed on May 10, 2022 and won’t open again for new applications for at least another 2-3 years. We will be be opening some of the senior housing waiting list in buildings in DuPage County in the next 30-60 days so please visit our website at https://www.dupagehousing.org to look for information about those openings. We plan to post information soon.
There was a waiting list earlier today but it has now closed. There will be another open waiting list in the future for DuPage Housing Authority, I recommend checking periodically.
