Is it possible and, if so, is extra training necessary, for an experienced CASA to transfer to Dallas CASA from a neighboring county?

Hi. I recall this question being asked during my orientation and the answer was that extra training is necessary because each branch operates as its own entity and guidelines vary by state/ county. Please do call to confirm, though. We really need you, so thanks in advance for being a Dallas CASA!

Thanks for asking! Dallas CASA needs more good people to advocate for the many children in Dallas foster care and would be happy to talk with you. Each CASA organization is a separate agency and will have different guidelines for their county or area. The best thing to do is come to one of our weekly information session and talk with our volunteer training manager about your experiences. See all the upcoming information session dates and register at www.dallascasa.org

You will need to contact the CASA office. I'm not certain if there is a reciprocity program available.
