Dr. Pipes is awesome. Heartworm is not easy to treat and different dogss react differently to the medication. I would watch him for negative side effects as that is a long time to be on such harsh medications, but it is the only option- along with bedrest. Typically dogs should be kenneled the entire time on the prescription. Bedrest is important and keeping your dog away from anything that causes him to get excited
Thank you David Clark. Well Dr. Pipes did prescribe the treatment for a 14 day tablet late September for heartworms but 2 weeks ago my dog collapsed again when he got really exited with a car passing by the alley so we went back to the vet November 1st without the dog (cost issues) asked for more tablets, got 1 month treatment, but I'm just worried that's too much. I will call in after the 15 days and see if they can help. Thanks for your concern
Depends on weight and health issue. Sounds serious. If prescribed by Dr pipes I would continue treatment. You can always call them to verify. Good luck.
