The app is available here: https://planetfitness.app.link/download You will be able to go to the gym as soon as you sign up online. You can apply online and yes you can go in right after you apply
Yes you can apply online and yes you can gym after signing up. However I suggest taking a tour of the facility in the event you have questions that can't be answered online.
