My daughter, myself, and two granddaughters ages 15 and 11 will be making a 5 minute walk to the Center from our hotel, is that area fairly safe for our walk back after the concert?

Yes it's very safe for you to walk back I guarantee that for sure because you got police officers on horses and on bicycles yes it's very safe as long as you got somebody with you and just don't be looking up in the air or anything like that just look forward and just watch the surroundings and that you'll be okay there's no problem at all pleasure to help you

Its safe until its not. We all just play the odds. Don't take a "shortcut" through any alleys. FYI a ton of homeless people around that area.
