I recently logged into my account from Fresno housing to check the status of my application it use to say that I am on the waiting list but when I checked it yesterday it said that I've been chosen by system selection what does that mean?

How long were you in the waiting list.?

Probably, that you have been chosen for one of the city owned properties. Or possibly that you have been selected by lottery to receive a Section 8 Voucher that can be used all over CA. Once you complete your fir9 provided you still qualify financially, you can move anywhere on the country and your rent will be capped at 30% of your gross earnings
