Pill bottles are sorted by plastic type then they are cleaned and ground into pellets and put into a big crate. That crate is then sent to plastic factories that Matthew 25 helped start in needy places to create jobs where they use it as their raw material to make various plastic items that they can sell.

Hi Kathy, Matthew 25: Ministries accepts donations of empty plastic pill bottles for inclusion in shipments of medical supplies and for shredding and recycling. Our pill bottle program fulfills the dual needs of improving medical care in developing countries and caring for our environment. Pill bottles that are not appropriate to include with shipments of medical supplies are recycled and may generate revenue that supports Matthew 25: Ministries’ programs. For more information about our program go to http://m25m.org/pillbottles/. Thank you!
