They are short-staffed at times but what store is not?
They are so badly understaffed it's not funny. I've had the same experience trying to call the store. I did find out that if you call just before the store opens that someone is likelier to answer the phone. I do an online order about once a month and when I go to the store to pick it up the customer service area, I've noticed the phone just tons and tons and the employees just ignore it. There's always a long line and I guess they feel it's easier to take care of what's in front of them. Granted there are approximately 7 stations at the customer service desk, but usually only 2 people working. I was at the Springdale location last week, there were two people working, or should I say one, one woman was helping customers as quickly as she could and the other woman was having a conversation with a friend that had come in. This is normal for this location, they seem to just not care.
They are most likely short staffed. I would try calling as soon as they open or an hour before they close because less people are likely to be in the store.
In short, yes. I believe the two locations on the Ohio side (this one & the one in Montfort Heights) are poorly ran on purpose.
