When dealers search parts, it checks all other dealers inventories. If the local dealer didn’t have it, their system will check all other dealers inventory. If no other dealers have it, they check the regional distribution centers. It sounds like no local dealers had the part so they ended up having to ship one in from a Ford regional warehouse.
