As has been stated, they pretty much take everything. I highly recommend the BJ'S MasterCard however. In the last year alone, they've given me back (in the form of $20 credits at the register) well over $500, plus we get $0.10 off/every gallon of gas we buy there... Not including the $0.25/gal promotions they run for everyone (so cardholders get $.35 off/gal during those promos!). They have the best has prices around. Sorry for the extra info, but I'm loving this cc so I like to share the benefits of it. It pays for our membership about 5x over! We never carry a balance, so there are no negatives that I can think of.

I know they take Visa and MasterCard. I'm not sure of anything else.
I use my Amex, the also accept Discover, MasterCard and Visa.
