Do prescription medicines need to be in their original containers in carry-on luggage in domestic flights, or can I put my meds in a pill box?

Tsa said each state's policies are different. I haven't been able to find out state rules, so now I'm checking the rules at rhe airports.

I've taken mine in the pill boxes.

Hmm ive carried stuff on both ways. When in doubt I would put it in the original bottle.
