There are both ramps and elevators. (Less than egress of steps.) If you are taking a leisure walk, you won't mind, if you have dinner reservations you'll want to check where entrances are. Most Cafe's, restaurants, on the walk are accessible. Boat rides are more limited. Some companies plan for specific time and location. The Chicago Bridge Museum has limited accessible as well. Almost all of Chicago Lakeshore and Riverwalk paths are open for anyone, including those who are disabled. That's why we LOVE CHICAGO!
yes it is wheelchair accessable. try from the michigan avenue road where you get the water taxi or boat rides where it is perfectly wheelchair accessable. there are many other entrances as well for wheelchair to river walk.
