I didn't see any Japanese dishware sets. A Japanese store like Mitsuwa would have what you're looking for. Or if you happen to be in Chinatown, there are several gift shops that sell ceramic and plastic dish sets or mix and match pieces of dishes, bowls, and chopsticks that you might like.

They have Korean made stuffs but not sure about Japanese made. You need to call them. One place you will sure get them is Mitsuwa Market in Arlington Heights.
