It's an extremely beautiful building, which had be enjoying my time here right off the bat. I feel like I was transported back to the glam 1930s or something, the interior is just spectacular! The food was very good! Maybe overpriced, but I think that's what you get in downtown Chicago. I would love to go back and try the oysters, every table about me had them! I enjoyed the clam chowder immensely, it was absolutely delicious.

The service wasn’t less than I would expect at an Applebees. I also have never had a waiter just stare at us awkwardly for long periods of time, made for a very uncomfortable feeling. I was also displeased the bread to my appetizer was burnt. It’s bread ?! Won’t be coming back.

Jesus was a gem! Our favorite dining experiences are when we enter as a patron and leave as a friend! My husband, Dan, and I have been dining at Shaw's since we began dating in Northbrook in 1988. We get to the one downtown infrequently, but it's ALWAYS a treat when we do. Jesus made our 31st Anniversary dinner so very special. His wine and food recommendations were perfection! Shaw's is the place we go when we want incredible tasting, perfectly balanced meals and not leave with being extra full or regretful that we are too much. Each staff member greeted us with smiles and humor. We had a dreamy night and cannot wait to get back. 😍 Thank you, Jesus! You are worth your weight in gold, our friend.

No dress code.
On the low end, $20-$30 per person but could easily exceed $100 per person if you're getting stone crab, oysters, lobster, king crab, drinks, etc.
What bruce said. They check temps when they greet you.
Hi Dominique! To keep our guests safe, we are not doing the brunch buffet at this time. But, the good news is we still have brunch! Instead of the buffet, we have a four-course spread of brunch favorites for $55 per person (plus tax). You can view the menu here: https://www.shawscrabhouse.com/chicago/menu/shaws-chicago-brunch/. Thank you for your flexibility and understanding during this time.
They will prepare anything you like to go, but if you are ordering a large amount for a party you should call ahead
Depends how much you expect to spend
Not for certain.. give them a buzz
Not sure but dinner menu changed because of covid.
10am to 2pm
Any time really
The buffet is served only on weekends. From the website: $65 for adults, $15 for children 7-12 and children 6 and under eat free.
Melted butter is all it needs.
Shaws is a nice place. Though no formal dress code I would say it is best to be business casual for the dining room
Nice casual in the bar area and definitely dressier in the dining room.
I dont know about the city location, but 10pm is too late at the Schaumburg location.
Definitely need a reservation, As long as you are neat you can get away with jeans and a nice top, sweater or blazer. Your going for dinner be comfortable and enjoy
Half off oysters (and some other items) 4-6pm daily.
