I am new to ar 15s, there is about 2,000 rounds through it, does the gas tube or block need to be cleaned too? And if so how do i clean them?

Cleaning of the gas tube is not necessary every time you clean the gun. They do make long " pipe cleaners " for that job. So you do not have to remove the gas tube. Corrosive ammo can be troublesome and require cleaning more often. I would not worry about gas block so much. Might find a few short videos on You Tube to look at .
