If you bring small snacks in your bag, will they allow you to enter with them when they search your bag?

I had snacks and water when I went in.

No food or drinks. If it's for a concert, they check all bags before the metal detectors

I'm not sure if it would be the same for every event I know when I went they allowed me in with my unopened snacks

They let us but we were there for a convention.
