Hello, My son who just turned 18 just received a 30 day drivers licence from courthouse. The licence states that it is legal and pernament document.I just want to make sure that this document will be sufficent for my son to apply for a passport.

You need proof of citizenship and state issued ID paperwork with a secondary ID . Something with his picture on it ( school ID ,work ID, or a membership card with his picture on it).

Typically they will not accept the paper copies as proof of identity but I don’t work for them and am not 100% positive.
