No ,if u go online and fill it out u get it in 3weeks or less I just got mine today and it was less then 3weeks u make am appointment full in all the paperwork and print it out take it with u at the appointment date given to u .
We did ours at the end of January, the 29th to be exact, at Postal Impressions. Both arrived on Feburary 15th. Still waiting on the birth certificates to get mailed back, though.
Routine service is 4 to 6 weeks, but you can pay 60 dollars for expedited service, which is 2 to 3 weeks. Also, check the rules for the country you are visiting. Some require you to have a valid passport for 6 months.
