I think they pretend they dont have a phone. If people need assistance and they dont jave a vehicle how do they expect some of these people to get to the office to talk to someone. They need to make it easier to apply online and answer a damn phone.
I asked that question to a case worker and she said that the phone is in a room that no one is in. The phone that the front desk lady answer is in house. Basically your wasting your time calling.
If you want to get somewhere fast go in person or go to Abe Illinois and apply online. I’ve spent literally the entire day st Claire was open and no answer. I just kept redialing.
