Usually they're AWFUL, but I just had the most AMAZING caseworker!!! Amanda is truly doing what's right and helping people receive what they deserve!!

2-4 hour wait, they don't answer the phone ever, security with the clown makeup is evil to literal children. The I competence is staggering. Filthy, too.

Had a phone interview for 8:45-9:39 and never got a call now been on hold for 45 mins to figure out why I was never called
no one
Worst DHS office ever. They are extremely rude and disrespectful. The security guard yelled at me bc I had to go to the bathroom and when I was done I went back to my place in line (I had waited over an hour) He told me it was "against the rules" and that I should go to the end of the line. So ,I did. I then asked for those rules in writing and he told me "shut your mouth or I'll kick you out". The receptionist glares at everyone and acts like it's such a burden doing her job. I felt so upset and depressed after leaving,(I have mental health issues) ,I dread going back to that place. What a horrible experience!

I think they pretend they dont have a phone. If people need assistance and they dont jave a vehicle how do they expect some of these people to get to the office to talk to someone. They need to make it easier to apply online and answer a damn phone.
Go to office they will help u all IDs n social
I wouldn’t recommend switching, they absolutely suck.

Yes
I would guess go into the office. They are open 8am-5pm during the week
That would be a question for a case worker
No. But maybe tell her to wait after it says enter her number cuz she's able to enter her social and birthdate also. If that don't work she can download the EBT app and if THAT doesn't work then I would highly suggest going down to the office early in the morning.
State if IL Medicaid. For all individuals applying: Bring ID, Soc Sec Card, Birth Cert, last 30 days pay stubs, proof of IL residency.
You can go to the office and reapply if you haven't already done so.
No unless new application
It depends, you have to file an application to apply, have an interview and submit any documentation which might be needed to determine your eligibility.
If you bring in a document which needs to be copied, they will make it for you.
You can meet with a caseworker on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday or Friday. The office opens at 8 a.m. For a shorter wait, go to the office early, not during lunch hours. You can also apply online.
