It depending on what trip you take. The electronic ait real fishing you can't have fun with the fight.
I work for the company and the half day trip for black sea bass you go 5 to 10 miles offshore. And its anywhere between 35 to 50 ft deep the 13 hr and 24 hr trip 2 35 to 40 miles offshore and anywhere. Between 120 ft to 175 ft .i work on the super voyager. 3 boat aka the blue boat.
You are not out that deep for the Black Sea bass trips so wont need electric reel for that trip. Can't answer for the 12 hr Gulf trips..havent done those yet.
