Of course they do? No funny business here...just great records at great prices! Stop by anytime and check for yourself.
That bargain bin is legit! I've personally purchased at least 200 albums for $1.99 each. That kind of price makes it easy to pick up records for friends too. Their vast selection of used records are priced just right as well. This is the standard that I judge other record shops by when I travel to other states. Capital City Records "gets it". Atmosphere, knowledge, personally, selection. 🎯
Dana is extremely picky about the records he places top dollar value on, which is why you see so many cool records in the bargain bin. Don't get me wrong. The bargain bin records are NOT trash copies. Rather I'm saying that slightly used LPs most stores and eBayers price $5 to $15 higher than the bargain bin simply aren't what Dana wants to put on his wall or in his regular section. And rightly so! If you want a fine, "player" copy of Led Zeppelin IV, Dark Side of the Moon, Back in Black, etc. (you know, plays through without a hitch but may have the odd snap, crackle, or pop, and the cover maybe shows a tad bit of ring wear), why the eff should you have to pay $12 to $20 for that? Dana isn't in it for the money and isn't playing that lame game. As a patron who never goes near the Bargain Bin because I'm looking for pristine first pressings, the $1.99 bin let's casual shoppers do their thing and allows me to have faith that Dana's high-end collectibles are as mint as he says they are!
Yes, they absolutely make it to the bargain bin. Some people just get there and snag them before you can.
