No. If you have a 8 hour shift you get lunch and bathroom breaks. You don't need a break to drink water. If you are a cashier you can keep your water next to you. The labor laws are supposed to be posted somewhere within the store. If this is really true then bring it to the attention of the manager of the supermarket

If that's really true you should call the Department of Labor
