I’m an interpreter and this is my office of choice because they are the best; the security guard is very helpful and does far more than just guard the place and the staff is friendly, respectful, and very professional. I’ve brought a lot of clients there and I’ve never had a problem! They’re also very efficient because you’re in and out within one hour. From my personal experience: Usual time to be seen after registering is 10-20 minutes!

Yes, it may be an advantage to go the most local office first.
As long as you have your original birth certificate and passport or picture i.d you are allowed a maximum of 7 social security cards in a lifetime. Also they won't give you your s.s card on the spot you must wait up to 2 weeks for them to mail it to you.
