How can I get on yours weather alert. I was stuck on the mainland recently because, coming from NY, I had no idea that there was a storm on.

The weather channel app....then enter any area code or location you want ...scroll down for 5 day forecast...I always use this when I travel to avoid surprises...even when I don't travel and I just want to see what the week is going to be like

I would seriously suggest that you use Google and contact the ferry to see what issues they may be experiencing.
