My first question was can we put our Kayaks in from the State Park on 4th of July? I got 2 replies 1 said yes to both 1st come basic the other said No water? its kinda important to have water access to put kayak in so can some one help me?

to enter the donner memorial day use area you must pay a fee and yes there is good access to the lake to put your kayaks into the water. the bestbarea for that (in the day use area) is just 300ft beyond the pay booth. There are also many many better spots along the road from the north shore. The problem with your idea though is that due to the tens of thousands of vacationers, timeshares and locals that stake out spots early for 4th of July you will have to arrive before daylight to find decent parking and the state park closes for new entries very early..people line up for miles to get in and others park for free usually a day ahead of time. I would not advise going. ON THE 4TH. just about any other day is far better than that day and be prepared to be very anxious if you choose otherwise.
