I'm a die hard freshwater bass angler. Want to learn to fluke fish. Cod too eventually. Is this a good place to go out in kayak for fluke? So overwhelming trying to figure out where to go and launch a kayak.

As Joe stated, you can launch your boat from the dirt parking lot on the right side of the road before you go through the main yellow gates. There are definitely fluke around, my suggestion would be to find some deeper water in the channel or by buoy 40 just to the south.

I don't see why you couldn't launch from the parking area just before you get into the park that's where all the jet skiers put in and some boaters, And then you can either paddle around to the cove area where you can paddle out into Cedar Creek itself
