Medicaid is for your insurance needs not the pets. Call the ASPCA and see if they can help or give you information for low income households.
Check out the Banfield Pet Hospital Network's pet wellness plans. They aren't the same as insurance, as a wellness plan covers preventative care, instead of just covering unforeseen medical issues. Most pet insurance plans are kind of a scam, with high costs for payments, premiums, and deductibles, and basically don't cover anything. Wellness plans cover unlimited office visits, annual vaccinations, annual physical exams, health screenings, and more. You can also select more comprehensive plans if your pet is older or has other needs, like chronic health conditions. The plans also include discounts to any other services you might need that aren't covered, and they offer financing options, so you can make a payment plan if your dog or cat needs services you can't afford on the spot. They even cover the costs for your first visit, so FREE EXAMS, WOOT!! Here is a link to the dog wellness plans: https://www.banfield.com/pet-healthcare/optimum-wellness-plans/dog-wellness-plans
