I've never had a bad experience at Poe's.
I have been there many times and never had bad service. Busy sometimes but not bad. Sorry your experience was not good. If you are in the area please give it another try. Maybe on the weekdays when less hectic.

Poe’s is an SI tradition! We’ve been going for decades and LOVE it! Leave your attitude at home, enjoy the slow pace and buy a T-shirt! Best time to go for lunch... 3pm.
This was not my first rodeo, I am not a tourist. I went there two weeks ago when it was not busy and the same attitude persisted. ***In response to the answers below***
Ive never had any issues at either location I've been to.
I have had very slow service there as well, I usually attribute it to being extremely busy, but the last time I was there, we couldn't even get silverware (after we had food)!
I was there on a weekday after the lunch rush before the dinner crowd
I had great service, just didn't understand what all the hype was about.
