Where was the eighth airfore stationed

It formed in Savannah in January 1942 and began arriving in England the following summer. By 1945 the Eighth Air Force's 3,000 airplanes flew missions from approximately 60 air bases in an area northeast of London known as 'East Anglia'. The 8AF lost 26,000 men during the time it operated from England.
