I surrendered 2 this week they are 4 years and 2 years but they took both of them. Hardest thing I ever had to do broke my heart💔
No they won't. You have to take them to animal control and then Humane Society may adopt them. But animal control has to process them and make sure they are not a dangerous animal.

I'm not certain but I don't see them turning one down if you were to take one in for surrender and they don't take them, but sure they could give you places you could take them to surrender them.
