Saturday, 8-13, I was having tight chest and devleoped a cough. Took home test for covid which was negative. 8-14 woke up with high fever. Went to urgent care. Covid-flu test negative. They gave me a Z-pack and prednisone to treat me for an URI. Told me if I wasn't better in a few days to follow up with my PCP (Catawba Family Medicine). I called CFM on 8-17 as I had no improvement. I told her I think someone needs to listen to my chest/lungs. Refused to see me in person. Offered tele-med which I declined because I needed someone to listen to my chest. The lady I spoke with said she would talk to a dr to see if I could be seen. I never heard anything. Called urgent care. They recommended I finish antibiotic and steroid to see if better. If not, follow up with my PCP this week. Feeling worse. I took another covid test which was negative. Called CFM this morning to let them know I have tightness of chest, light headed and need to be seen to be diagnosed properly. They REFUSED to see my in office. Offered tele-med call. I declined asking how they can properly dx me over a call. They said it is their POLICY to refuse to see anyone in clinic that has any Covid symptom (isn't that everyone!). I told her again that I need someone to actually listen to my chest and lungs, not just give me medicine when they don't know what the hell they are treating. She said tele-med was my only option to protect their staff and patients. I will be following up to obtain legal advice on how to handle physicians who do not want to do their job! Giving medicine without knowing what you are treating is sloppy care!

My question is why did Doctor Witki stop talking to his patient when she had a major change in her health.Had the nurse call and give me bad news.I was told to research it myself on PC.

Are you accepting new patients? And when is the earliest available appointment that I could get? I have Blue Cross insurance through my employer. I am sure I have a sinus infection. I am not happy with the doctor I saw in the past.
