How are animals handled which are being flown with their human owners. How cool is the baggage compartment. How long are they kept on the tarmac.

Pet policies vary with each airline...I've loaded a few commercial airliner cargo holds and they're HOT. IMHO if you can't have your furry friend with you in the cabin of the plane leave with a caretaker. Time on tarmac varies depending on many factors but a couple of hours is common.

I have flown pets 2 times. 1 cat took a short flight. Afterwards, she would never come into the house again! I guess it traumatized her. 2nd time was a very long <30 hour> flight for different pets. We were moving. The dog was never let out or fed. The cat either. You can imagine the mess they were in! This happened on Delta. I don't trust them. I wouldn't do it again unless I HAD to!
