Hi there Cassandra, These buildings are truly unique in their architecture, aren't they?? The history of these buildings date from 1882 into the 1940's. They originated as The Oneida Cotton Mills and Scott-Mebane Manufacturing Complex. In their early histories, the mill and manufacturing company were both associated with Lynn Banks Holt, who was a son of Edwin Michael "E. M."Holt, a textile pioneer in North Carolina. A chain link fence divides the property lines and distinguishes each historical area from the other. We think the architectural history of these homes are really neat, so we wanted to pass that info onto you! -The Live Well Team
