They're not "bumming money" as you so less than eloquently asked. They are only asking if you would like to round up too the nearest dollar too help support their programs. Obviously you didn't take the time out to ask the cashier what the money would be used for.
Hi Teresa. Our cashiers ask shoppers if they would like to round up their purchase to the nearest dollar. The extra money we make by doing this supports our job training programs and other employment services that we offer to people in our community, free of charge.
