When my son was there I was able to call and get a report of my son's day any day at any hour. He was able to call us once he was stable. He used to call us in the evening. My son is seriously autistic and non verbal so the call was not traditional but I was able to hear his voice. It was very touching. He left our home so angry and frustrated and returned much more calm and mature. His time there was not traumatic for him. It was very helpful.
You can try to call, but they lock the phones in closets. My advice is keep calling until they answer.
They're treating my daughter badly.
