Are you aware that declawing is actually amputating the "finger" at the first knuckle? There are alternative methods such as caps, sorry for the Preaching, don't know cost. Hope you change your mind
If you truly love your feline friend, you would Google declawing first and think about if that would be ok for yourself, I'm guessing no... They do have caps like mentioned above, you just cut the pointy tip off the claw, and they have special safe glue that comes with these caps, they will show you how to do it the first time, very simple. My cat never minded them and they fall off by them selves when the nail grows. Dont declaw your cat friend, please, I'm begging you.
I agree with jules....get a scratch post with kidnap even make one....they will stop clawing at furniture
